If you’re wondering what this site is all about let me give you a very short and sweet intro. This is a project to encourage South African Citizens interested in developing and initiating ideas and projects to facilitate the general improvement of the society which we inhabit.

A Starting point - Bring the people together

The core purpose of this specific website is to attract like minded individuals, with thoughts, skills, experience and knowledge of how to positively influence South African Society on a number of levels. This site will hopefully & God Willing be a place for people to interact, share ideas, collaborate, inform and educate South Africans in general. We hope this discussion will generate innovative solutions to societal problems based on the idea that many minds are better than one. We want to create a forum for discussion not merely a voice box for complaints but a place where solutions can be explored and from where the implementation of solutions can be planned.

If you are tired of the problems with which South African Society is riddled and feel you have something to offer, you are welcome to have your say, get involved and participate in what will hopefully be a project which achieves some success in unlocking the true potential we have in this beautiful land. Start by sharing with us which areas of South African Society needs assistance and put forward your ideas of how this can be addressed.

The general aims of The One Project - Knowledge is Power

The purpose of this website is only to initiate “The One Project”. We aim to pool knowledge, resources and skills together and eventually start developing materials which could be of benefit to society in general from an educational, upliftment and empowerment perspective. Whatever your Sphere of knowledge or skill, you can definitely do something to help someone grow, to teach someone how to improve themselves, to make a difference in some way. We don’t need donations at this stage of the project and hope to create a self sustaining project which will never need handouts. We aim to generate ideas which will create small business opportunities which can help keep the project self funding.

What can you do? - Share what you know

• Maybe you can write a tutorial on how to dress for an interview or how to make ones CV more effective.
• If you know how to teach people to speak another language or how they can become more environmentally friendly putting together a little course might make a massive difference.
• If you have children you could definitely impart some parenting advice or you could share some family activities which have been of benefit to you and your family.
• The entrepreneurs out there could share their ideas on how small business people could improve their businesses, or on how to start a small business.
• If you have resources which could help us in this endeavor please step forward. (Not money)
• If you have a cause which needs to be promoted send it to us and we will do what we can to get the message out.

Whatever it may be you can make a contribution that can change someones life. Our aim is to gather helpful elements from all quarters and to start spreading these to those who may be in need of it via different media channels once we have reached a critical mass of resources. The least you could do is tell someone about this project and send them to this site(www.one-project.org). Lets see how the power of networking, collaboration and media can change the way we live together in this beautiful country of ours.
