The One Project is the beginning of something which existed only in my mind for many years. It is an attempt to start exploring the use of media to positively influence the lives of all South Africans either directly or indirectly.
We are at a point in the history of South Africa where we can no longer rely on others to steer our country in the right direction. Our streets have been hit by an ignorance and apathy which is unprecedented in our history. Tabloid newspapers have captured the minds of the masses and are negatively influencing the minds of our people. We cannot leave the job of educating to teachers, nor the job of empowering to NGO’s and we can definitely not afford to leave the masses engrossed in the smut, superstition & scandal of the tabloids.
There exists in our country a wealth of knowledge, creativity, expertise, experience and passion as well. It’s time the people of this country stand up together and make their voices heard in an empowering manner. “Be the change you wish to see in the world“ - Mahatma Ghandi.
This site exists as the start of a project which aims to bring together the knowledge and ideas, experience and skills needed to take South Africa to the level we want to see it reach for the greater good of all. Our heads can no longer be put into the sand and passive criticism is just not good enough.
